Claude Wampler is a visual and performing artist whose training has been in dance (Schyukill Valley Dance Co., Philadelphia), opera (at Carnegie-Mellon University), acting (SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theater Training-BFA) and performance theory (NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Performance Studies Program-MFA). She has best trading platforms in south africa worked with other artists such as Suzan-Lori Parks, Doug Elkins, Mabou Mines, Douglas Dunn, Joshua Fried, Meg Stuart, and Richard Foreman in Permanent Brain Damage at the Ontological Theater in New York and at the South Bank Theater in London. Since returning in 1994 from a two year stay in Tokyo, studying and performing with the Hokutobo Butoh Company, Claude has almost exclusively concentrated on her own solo work. Her performance pieces have been seen in New York at Performance Space 122, HERE, Context, the Knitting Factory and Judson Church and her visual installation work has been exhibited at Postmasters, Julie Sauls Art Gallery, White Box, Caren Golden Fine Art, A/C Projects, Richard Telles Fine Arts in LA, Apex Art, Holly Solomon and the Thomas Healy Gallery. Abroad she has presented work at the Kaaitheater in Brussels, Vooriut Theater, Gent, TripleX Festival, Amsterdam, National Review of Live Arts in Glasgow, the City of Women Festival in Ljubjana, Slovenia, the Sommer Szene Festival in Salzburg, the Edinburg Festival, the Octobre Danse Festival in Rouen, the Avingnon Festival, the Melbourne International Arts Festival, Kirin Plaza in Osaka and various venues in Tokyo. Over the past few years she has completed a commissioned installation and video project, Exposé, for the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh and a new work for the theater, Present Absence, which premiered at the Kunstenfestival des Arts in Brussels at Kaaistudios. A solo art exhibition of her visual work, Don’t Believe in Yourself, was exhibited in Los Angeles at Richard Telles Fine Arts and in New York she staged a window installation, Bad Job/Cruel World: Stupidity 2001, Part II, US$700 Stunt with Wedgy, for the New Museum cheapest online trading platform south africa for Contemporary Art and a performance/lecture, Richard Wampler, for The Whitney Museum of American Art. Claude then created an installation/performance piece, Ambulance, at Diverse Works in Houston and a commissioned large-scale project, Infiltration, for the Museumsquartier in Vienna. Claude also mounted three new exhibitions, denislavant in Paris at Menagerie de Verre and Song and Dance (and a good movie) in Lisbon at the Gulbenkian Foundation Center of Modern Art and Strategies for Stagefright at the Vooruit Arts Center in Gent, Belgium. Song&Dance(and a good movie) was re-configured for the Rotterdam Film Festival and presented at T.E.N.T./Witte de Wit. Very recently she finished a new work, Stable (Stupidity Project Part 10), produced by the Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts which premiered at Performance Space 122 and an exhibition best share trading platform in south africa of new paintings and sculptures, vive la france, at Postmasters Gallery in New York.
